1. Zero Tolerance Policy Statement
PT Jangkar Sampuran Berkat (JSB) is committed to conducting all shipping agency and logistics operations with the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct. JSB enforces a strict **Zero Tolerance Policy** against all forms of bribery, corruption, extortion, facilitation payments, and illegal inducements.
This policy applies to all officers, directors, employees, sub-agents, contractors, and intermediaries acting on behalf of JSB across all Indonesian ports and international dealings.
2. International Compliance & Standards
JSB conducts business in accordance with all applicable national and international anti-corruption laws, including:
- Indonesian Law No. 31 of 1999 (as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001) on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
- The U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
- The UK Bribery Act 2010.
- International Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) guidelines and TRACE Certification standards.
3. Prohibited Activities
3.1 Bribery of Public Officials & Port Authorities
No employee or agent shall offer, promise, give, or authorize any financial or other advantage to any government official, port authority officer, pilot, customs inspector, or harbor master to obtain or retain business or gain an improper operational advantage.
3.2 Facilitation Payments ("Grease Payments")
JSB strictly prohibits facilitation payments intended to expedite or secure routine governmental actions, regardless of local custom or practice.
3.3 Gifts, Hospitality & Entertainment
Gifts or hospitality offered to or received from clients or officials must be modest, lawful, transparent, and registered in accordance with company threshold limits. No gifts of cash or cash equivalents are permitted under any circumstances.
4. Whistleblowing & Reporting Mechanism
JSB encourages employees, clients, vessel captains, and third parties to report any suspected or actual instances of corruption or unethical behavior immediately without fear of retaliation.
